Fun Sewing Tricks!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Did you have a chance to spend some time outside in the sunshine? Socially distanced of course! I enjoyed walking on the beach and all around town. I think I may cover every road in Barrington before too long so keep your eyes peeled, you just may see me out walking!

I have a video to share with you today that has some fun sewing tricks you can do with things you probably have around the house. It does some fun things with buttons. If you don't have any buttons handy, check with your mom because a lot of clothes come with extra buttons in a little bag that you can tuck away and save or if you have a goodwill bag of clothes ready to donate you can ask one of your parents if you can take a few buttons from those clothes. Look inside of shirts with buttons, they sometimes sew a few extra in just in case you need them!

Before I show you the video though, I want to share these adorable puppets from the puppet challenge with you.

If you have any projects you want to share, sewing related or not, just send photos to me at and I will share them with everyone here. I don't have to tell people who made things, just sharing them helps us all inspire each other!

I know you are all starting at home school this week. Good luck!!! If you want to comment below and let us know how it is going that would be great. You can share tips with each other.

So without further ado, here is the link to what I think is a super fun video. I can't wait to do a lot of these cute little things myself. Let me know if you need any help with any of them or if you get stuck! I can FaceTime you and talk you through it.

Listen While You Stitch!

Hi Guys! Just a quick post today. One of my favorite things to do is listen to a book on tape or podcast while I am sewing. I found out that Audible has free books and stories for kids (and adults who
