Indigo Dyeing
February 21 (from 10:00 - 3:00)
Shibori, or indigo dyeing, is a centuries long traditional school of dyeing in Japan. Ori Nui, or stitched designs, take time but can yield beautiful results. This class will involve some pre dyeing day homework, so please sign up early if you can (stitching takes time). In class we will dye the pieces stitched in homework and stitch a few more complex designs. Each piece will be dipped at least three times into the indigo in order to attain the rich, deep blue.

Prep work and supplies will be provided upon sign up.
