Start to Quilt with Maria

Second Saturday of each month 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.


If you have ever wanted to learn to quilt, this is the time to start!

This is a beginner level quilting class where students of all ages with little or no prior experience with quilting tools and block basics.


This class will teach each student the skills to get started on an incredible quilting journey. You will learn how to use a rotary cutter, ruler basics, cutting strips, pressing for success, testing seam allowances and more. The basic blocks that we will make are a 4-patch, 9-patch, rail fence, log cabin, and simple paper piecing.


This class will teach you the basics so you can go on and quilt the Tula Pink 100 Modern Quilt Blocks quilt.


Need to bring to class:

Sewing machine in good working order and manual

Rotary cutter, ruler, neutral thread, scissor, pins and seam ripper.

These items are also available at the studio for your own use if you do not have your own.
